Sooryavanshi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rohit Shetty, produced by Shetty and Karan Johar under the banners of Rohit Shetty Pictures and Dharma Productions respectively, in association with Reliance Entertainment and Cape of Good Films. It is the fourth installment of Shetty's Police Universe, and the most expensive cop film ever made in the history of Indian cinema. The film stars Katrina Kaif in the lead role along with Akshay Kumar. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
Kumar's character as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi was announced at the end of Simmba that served as a character introduction to Sooryavanshi. [3] Kumar will play the role of the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. [4] The film is written by Sajid Farhad, and co-scripted by writers Manav Das, Anu Rahi and Shivansh Tiwari.
